Success Center Provides Students Advice, Study Hall

Students in the Huntley College of Agriculture who need academic advice or somewhere to study have a place they can call their own.
The Huntley College has created a Student Success Center in Building 2, which has individual and group study spaces that will be open during the week.
In addition, staff advisors, Peer Advisors, Veteran Ambassadors, and Student Success Ambassadors will hold regular office hours for students at the center.
“We wanted to help students be successful, so we created this place where students could go to get advice and also have a place to study,” Interim Dean Lisa Kessler said. “The study facilities can be used before, between or after classes or in the evenings.”
The college will hold a grand opening for the center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and Wednesday, Oct. 4. The center will have refreshments and, at
The center is across from the Department of Animal & Veterinary Science office. Its regular hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with evening hours by reservation.
The advisors and ambassadors can help students with course registration, academic advising, MyPlanner, Schedule Builder, the CPP Pledge program, questions about semester conversion, or referrals to university support services.
