Wanted: Grad Students for AG100 TA Jobs
The College of Agriculture is seeking graduate students to work this fall as teaching assistants for AG100.
AG100 is the one-unit orientation class that is required for all freshmen in the College of Agriculture.
Graduate students are needed to teach one or two sections. Duties include:
- Meeting weekly with your section to teach prepared lesson plans
- Holding office hours for two hours a week (TAs will have an office assigned by their departments.)
- Grading assignments and entering the grades into Blackboard and BroncoDirect
- Working with the peer advisor assigned to your class
- Meeting weekly with the AG100 coordinator and other TAs
- Contributing ideas and suggestions on how to improve AG100
- Attending a pre-quarter meeting to review course expectations, learn how to use Blackboard, go over assignments, receive and review syllabus and textbook
- Attending one two-hour training session on classroom management techniques before the quarter starts
- Participating occasionally in college events outside of regular class time: e.g., Pumpkin Festival, Sunday Horse Show, etc.
