Congratulations to the Class of 2024. We are so proud of you in reaching this important milestone!

Spring Updates

  • March 15 - Spring Grad App. Deadline - Students are guaranteed to participate in commencement, and their name will be in the program.
  • March 16 - Student names are not guaranteed in the program after this date.
  • March 22 - Marching Order RSVP and ticket portal opens - Students are required to RSVP, pre-record name to be read at ceremony, and claim tickets.
  • April 20 - Marching Order primary ticket portal closed - Can no longer guarantee guest tickets and pre-recording student name to be read at ceremony. 
  • May 1 - No late applications, appeals and/or exceptions will be accepted after this date to participate in Commencement 2024.

Portal will close on Saturday, May 20, 2024.

After ticket portal closes on April 20th, we will assess ticket numbers, and send an update to all grads if there is an opportunity to claim more. 

Next Honor Cord distribution will begin on April 15 through May 10 at the Bronco Advising Center, located on first floor of Student Service Building 121-East.

Fall 2023, Spring and Summer 2024.  

All graduates must wear the approved CPP cap and gown with sash, and tassel assigned to your college or degree.  Other university gowns are not permitted.

Graduation items are now available at Bronco Bookstore in person, or online while supplies last.

Event Information

Access for graduates and guests with disabilities will be available for all Commencement ceremonies. Services available are noted in this page.  QR code and form link are available to request an accommodation. 

Please note that wheelchairs and other assistive devices of a personal nature will not be available.  There will be a significant walking distance from the parking areas to the ceremony locations, so please plan accordingly. 

Graduates do not need a ticket, they are only for family and friends 2yrs. or older.

Each graduate will have access to eight (8) tickets.  Please note all guests 2 yrs or older will require a ticket.  Children under 2 yrs may sit on a parent's lap.

Tickets have a unique code for each event and will not scan for a different ceremony.

University Quad at Cal Poly Pomona. 

Yes, each ceremony will be livestreamed.  Links will be shared on commencement website the week prior to event.

Ceremonies will be 90 mins or less.

At a college ceremony your degree will be conferred by university president, recieve diploma cover, take a professional photo, name read a loud and showcased on large screen as you cross the stage.

Every graduate will receive a program after they cross the stage. All guests will be able to access the event program in PDF format on commencement website during event, or scan the QR code at each ticket entry gate.

Graduate Student Information

Please purchase approved CPP master gown and hood for your specific degree at Bronco Bookstore. While supplies last.

Please arrive on campus one hour before your assigned ceremony.

  • Park in "Lot F"
  • Proceed to Engineering Meadow, Building 9 breezeway to student check-in
  • At student check-in you will pick up a label with barcode for your name reading
  • Proceed to Hooding Garden (Bldg. 1 Lawn Area)

Please carry your hood to the event.  You will be hooded by department faculty at the Hooding Garden near line-up area (Bldg. 1 Lawn Area), prior to procession.

Yes, a professional photographer will take photos and will provide proofs.

Faculty and graduates only.  Pre-hooding will be live streamed before each ceremony.  Link will be shared week of event, on commencement website.
