Bronco Access Card

The Bronco Access Card is the official Cal Poly Pomona photo identification card.

  • Guidelines

    Authorized Use:  The Bronco Access Card, and all uses of, is governed by the University and remains the property of Cal Poly Pomona. This card is non-transferable.

    Students:  Strict privacy rules govern the release of information concerning individual students. The Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act, commonly known as FERPA, makes mandatory the protection of students' privacy in regard to the educational records of current and former Cal Poly Pomona students.  Certain information, referred to as "Directory Information", may be disclosed to individuals other than the owner of the record without prior consent.  For more information on Cal Poly Pomona's Directory Information, refer to the Registrar's Office website at http://www.cpp.edu/~registrar/privacy-rights.shtml.

    Your photograph, and any other personal information not considered "directory information" can be released only to an employee of the University who has a legitimate educational need to know, certain specific government agencies, or to other individuals only if the student signs a written release.

    University Employees and Affiliates: Your photograph is protected by the Information Practices Act and will not be released unless permitted or required by law.

    Privacy Restriction: Your photograph will be used to create your Bronco Access Card. Its uses will be subject to the University Policy for Usage of Computing Resources and Privacy Rules on Confidentiality of Student Information.

  • Lost/Stolen Cards

    To report a lost or stolen card, please log on to BroncoBucks website.  You can also log on to BroncoBucks website to report your card found.

    To obtain a Replacement Card, please bring the following to the Photo ID Unit:

    • Cashier's receipt for $15.001;
    • Government-issued photo ID2; and
    • Bronco Number.

    The Photo ID Unit will need to verify in its database that you are an active student, faculty or staff, or an eligible affiliate of the University.

    Faculty/Staff, including affiliates will not be charged for replacement cards.

    1 Go to the Cashier's Office, CLA building, 1st Floor, Japanese Garden entrance to pay the $15.00 Bronco Access Card replacement fee.

    2 Government-issued photo identification can be a driver’s license, state identification, military ID, passport, etc.

  • Undergraduate Students

    Why Should You Get a Bronco Access Card?  It is essential that you obtain a Bronco Access Card because it identifies you as a currently enrolled student. This entitles you to the following privileges:

    • Use of computing resources
    • Use of the University Library
    • Use of Health Services
    • Access to Recreational and Fitness facilities on campus
    • Use as a debit card for on-campus purchases

    Get Your Bronco Access Card!

    As a CPP student, you are required to have a Bronco Access Card (Student ID card), which you will receive during orientation.

    • Driver's license; or
    • State/country identification card; or
    • Military ID; or passport; etc.
  • Graduate Students

    Why Should You Get a Bronco Access Card?  It is essential that you obtain a Bronco Access Card because it identifies you as a currently enrolled student. This entitles you to the following privileges:

    • Use of computing resources
    • Use of the University Library
    • Use of Health Services
    • Access to Recreational and Fitness facilities on campus
    • Use as a debit card for on-campus purchases

    Graduate Students

    1. Go to the Cashier’s Office, CLA Building 1st Floor, and pay $5.00 for your initial Bronco Access Card.
    2. Go to the Photo ID Unit, CLA Building 2nd Floor, Tower side. Bring the receipt and one of the following government issued photo identification:
    • Driver’s license; or
    • State/country identification card; or
    • Military ID; or passport; etc.
  • Faculty & Staff

    The Bronco Access Card is the official photo identification for all Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff, students and affiliates. This card is more than just the official identification card. It also offers the safety and convenience of not having to carry cash on campus, and allows access to campus services, buildings, and laboratories.

    How to Get a NEW Bronco Access Card:  Go to the Photo ID Unit, CLA Building 2nd Floor, tower side. Bring one of the following government issued photo identification:

    • driver's license; or
    • state identification card; or
    • military ID; or
    • passport; etc.

    Anyone requesting a Bronco Access card will need to present a government issued photo identification (e.g. driver's license, state identification card, military ID, or passport, etc.).  You should also know your nine-digit Bronco Number. The Photo ID Unit will need to verify in its database that you are an active faculty/staff or eligible affiliate of the University.

    Faculty/Staff, do not pay for Bronco Access Cards.

    If you work as a University employee but discontinue your employment and become a student, you will need to replace your "Faculty/Staff" card with one that reads "Student." There is a $5.00 fee for your first "Student" card, and a $15.00 fee for subsequent replacements.

    Note: Student Assistants, Graduate Assistants, and Teaching Assistants are classified as "Students," not "Faculty/Staff."
