Applying for Admission

Freshman applicants are encouraged to explore academic programs in our University Catalog.

Apply online by November 30th

October 1, 2018 – November 30, 2018 for Fall 2019 admissions. Once your application is submitted, an email notification will be sent to your specified email.

Cal Poly Pomona makes admission decisions based on self-reported information from the application!
It is important that coursework, including grades and test scores, are entered accurately and completely. Provisionally admitted students who intend to enroll at Cal Poly Pomona will be required to submit an official transcript to verify eligibility and high school graduation. Admission decisions may be withdrawn for students who misreport academic information or who have not met terms of the admission offer.

All changes/requests to the Fall 2019 application must be made before December 15, 2018.

Submit SAT or ACT test scores

Complete and submit your ACT or SAT scores as early as possible, but no later than January 31st.

  • For the SAT, to all Cal States Applied for - 3594.
  • For the ACT,use institution code of  0202 for Cal Poly Pomona.

Submit transcripts or other documents only when requested

Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an email with further instructions.

Please do not send your high school transcript before your graduation, unless requested.

Pay the application fee

Your application, whether paper or electronic, and a $55 filing fee (or fee waiver request) must be submitted with the application. Instructions for payment can be found on Cal State Apply.
