Residency Information

The tuition and fees you pay to enroll in classes each quarter vary depending on whether you are considered an in-state or out-of-state student. Students who are not considered California residents for fee purposes are required to pay an additional fee of $248 per unit each quarter.

Special provisions for residency status for fee purposes have been made for Veterans and dependents as follows:

Waiver of Non-Resident Fees for Veterans and Military Service Members

A waiver of non-resident fees may apply to you for the following reasons:

  • A Veteran using Post-9/11 GI Bill® or Montgomery GI Bill® – Active Duty benefits who lives in the state in which the institution of higher learning is located (regardless of his/her legal state of residence) and enrolls in the school within three years of discharge from a period of active duty service of 90 days or more.

More information is available at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website.
