How the Ranch Got Started

Old Horse Stables

Ever since the 1920s, there have been Arabian horses here in Pomona. Kellogg brought Arabians to Southern California from a famous stock in Britain and other breeders in the state, and started to show and breed them. Kellogg's favorite Arabian horse, Jadaan, was part of the first purchase Kellogg made. The stables weren't yet finished when he bought his first Arabians, so Kellogg housed the horses in temporary stables. The media heard about and publicized Kellogg’s Arabians, raising public awareness.
