Leadership ExcellenceArmy ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) at Cal Poly Pomona is a college course designed to provide students with the necessary skills and leadership training to become officers in the United States Army.  Upon earning a degree, and successful completion of the program, cadets will commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army on Active Duty, the Army Reserve, or the Army National Guard.

Mission

The Golden Lions Battalion recruits, educates, and trains ROTC cadets to commission future Leaders of Character dedicated to personal and professional excellence and committed to serving the Army and our Nation.

California Polytechnic Pomona University Army ROTC Bronco Company serves the Los Angeles and surrounding counties in order to train Students/Cadets to become future Officers in the Armed Forces as well as leaders in the Professional Business World.

The Cal Poly Department of Military Science resides in the Division of Academic Affairs. The Military Science curriculum supplements students' academic majors by offering elective courses ranging from leadership and management to military history. Students who complete our Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program become officers in the U.S. Army, Army Reserves, or the Army National Guard and are guaranteed either full or part time employment after graduation.

Partnership schools include: Claremont McKenna College, Azusa Pacific University, University of California-Riverside, California State University at San Bernardino, California Baptist University, and several local community colleges.

Army ROTC is an excellent leadership development program that offers challenging, hands-on training to build confidence and character while developing leadership skills for future success.
