The Art Student Alliance (ASA) is an organization aiming to improve the general quality of the educational experience for all students by broadening artistic and cultural experience within the Art. ASA members are students from the Art department as well as interested students from the various non-art majors offered on campus. Activities include local and regional trips, guest artist lectures/ workshops, community-based art projects, and more.
The purpose of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) is to further excellence in communication design as a broadly defined discipline, strategic tool for business and cultural force. AIGA is the place design professionals turn to first to exchange ideas and information, participate in critical analysis and research and advance education and ethical practice. The Cal Poly Pomona student group is affiliated with AIGA Los Angeles.
