Bonny Burns-Whitmore, MPH, DrPH, RD
Position:Professor of Nutrition, Graduate Coordinator, Didactic Programs in Dietetics Director, Department of Human Nutrition and Food Science, College of Agriculture, California State Polytechnic University. Employed at Cal Poly Pomona since 1995.
Education:She received a BS in Biology/Human Biology/Microbiology from La Sierra University, and both a Master and Doctorate of Public Health and Nutrition from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. She is a Registered Dietitian with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a fellow in the Institute of Food Technologists, a member of the American Public Health Association, A.P.H.A. Kashi Company (pre-Kelloggs-owned)1999- Kashi Company on a joint project involving recipe analysis for 35 holiday recipes (some were developed by their consumers) that utilize Kashi products. Results were posted on the Kashi website. 1998-Kashi Company Grant for 12 recipes. posted on the Kashi website. 1999- Kashi Foods Experiment. Designed to determine the optimum time, temperature and preference of Kashi Go cereal in a convection oven. Designed the experiment, was the principle investigator for the experiment, and performed preference testing on a consumer panel.
