General Admissions Requirements for MBA and MSBA Programs

  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree
  • 3.0 Overall GPA (recommended) 
  • GMAT, GRE, or a department issued waiver (contact department for details) 
  • 2+ Years of Work Experience
  • TOEFL (If required) 213 Computer Based/550 Paper Based/80 Internet Based or the IELTS with a score of 6.5 or better

General Admissions Requirements for the MSA Program

  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree
  • 3.0+ Overall GPA (recommended)
  • GMAT (required, unless waived)
  • TOEFL (If required) 213 Computer Based/550 Paper Based/80 Internet Based or the IELTS with a score of 6.5 or better
    • Students with an Accounting degree from an AACSB Accredited Institution, earned within the last seven years with a minimum Accounting GPA of 3.25 may waive the GMAT.  Those applicants are subject to all other admission requirements.

Calendar for Admissions

We will be accepting applications for the MBA, MSA, and MSBA programs for the Fall 2018 semester beginning October 1, 2017 via Cal State Apply.  The early application deadline for Fall 2018 (recommended for those applicants who do not have undergraduate degree in business and/or International applicants) is January 1, 2018 and the deadline to submit supporting documents (GMAT/GRE score, letters of recommendation, and resume) is February 14, 2018.  The regular deadline for domestic applicants who have an undergraduate degree in business is May 31, 2018, for the application and July 1, 2018 for supporting documents.
