For more than 30 years, the Marketing Educators’ Association has been one of the top organizations at pushing for advances in marketing knowledge, education and practice. For at least the next one, two professors from Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Business Administration will help guide the MEA as board members.

International business and marketing interim chair Debbora Whitson and assistant marketing professor Kristen R. Schiele were elected to MEA’s board of directors at its national conference in Denver, Colo.

A total of seven IBM faculty from the CBA attended the April 14-16 conference where Schiele also presented, “Digitizing the Student Experience: Using e-Portfolios to Demonstrate High-Impact Practices and Promote Student Employment Success.”

Helena Czepiec, MEA’s 2012 Marketing Educator of the Year, was one of the seven CBA professors in Denver and is the school’s sole recipient of the organization’s highest honor.
