TOM graduates will be effective communicators.

Objective 1 : TOM graduates will communicate effectively.

  • Learning outcome: TOM graduates will be able to effectively communicate the concept, analysis, managerial results, and make recommendations in a business environment both in written and oral formats.

TOM graduates will be critical thinkers.

Objective 2 : TOM graduates will recognize the importance and challenge of effective decision making based on facts and reasoning, and develop tools and ability to frame supply chain and operations management problems, collect related data, analyze data, and construct conclusions based on the analysis.

  • Learning outcome 1: TOM graduates will develop the fact-based reasoning skills when making strategic, tactical, and operational decisions.

  • Learning outcome 2: TOM graduates will be able to organize and evaluate supply chain and operations management related data.

  • Learning outcome 3: TOM graduates will be able to conduct quantitative analysis based on facts with analytical tools.

Objective 3 : TOM graduates will recognize implications and challenges of a global economy on the operations function and supply chain management,

  • Learning outcome: TOM graduates will demonstrate the understanding and implications of globalization on supply chain planning, global sourcing, global manufacturing, global logistics, and global customer service.

TOM graduates will demonstrate understanding of information technology

Objective 4 : TOM graduates will be able to effectively use information technology to support supply chain and operations management activities and decision making.

  • Learning outcome: TOM graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of information technologies which support the operations and supply chain activities

          such as purchasing, production, logistics, warehousing, and customer relationship management.

TOM graduates will demonstrate knowledge in business sustainability

Objective 5 : TOM graduates will recognize the importance and challenge of supply chain and operations sustainability and be able to apply sustainability factors when making operations and supply chain decisions.

  • Learning outcome: TOM graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge in sustainable supply chain and operations planning, sustainable sourcing, sustainable production, sustainable logistics, and sustainable customer service.
