Information for Authors
Submit all manuscripts electronically to the editors at email@example.com. The coversheet should include the title, author’s name, affiliation, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and brief biography stating position and degree received. Similar information should appear for all co-authors. The complete title of the article and the name of the author(s) should be typed only on this cover sheet to ensure anonymity in the review process. Subsequent pages should have no author names. Information in text or references that would identify the author should be deleted from the manuscript.
Please note that IJTL uses a blind review process; therefore, writers must exclude authors’ names, institutions, and clues to the authors’ identities that exist within the manuscript. The author's name should be removed from the document's Properties, which in Microsoft Word is found in the File.
Manuscripts are accepted for consideration with the understanding that they are original material, should be previously unpublished, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles submitted to the International Journal of Teacher Leadership (IJTL) undergo multiple stages of review, including using TurnItIn. Authors may be asked to disclose any previous drafts, versions, or presentations of their manuscript at conferences, meetings, or other venues. After the editors approve an article for publication, it is assigned to a future issue.
Authors must submit manuscripts that follow guidelines in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition, 2009). Manuscripts must be in Microsoft Word or RTF file format. The editors request that all text pages be numbered consecutively. All text, including title, headings, references, quotations, figure captions, and tables, must be typed, double-spaced, with one-inch margins all around. Manuscripts should be in Times New Roman and with minimum font size of 12. Manuscripts should be no more than a total of 30 pages in length. Submissions grossly exceeding this limit may not be accepted for review. All manuscripts must include an abstract. Abstracts describing the essence of the manuscript must be 150 words or less.
