Partners in Education Fellowship - Cal Poly Pomona has a unique scholarship provided by the Cal Poly Pomona Partners in Education (PIE) Board. The organization raises money to support teacher candidates while completing Clinical practice. The PIE scholarship is $2,500 for each of two quarters for a total of $5,000. PIE awards from 6 to 15 scholarships each year. The number of scholarships awarded is based on the amount of money PIE raises for this purpose.
The PIE Fellowship application process generally takes place in late fall with the applications due around December 1. Be sure to check the college web site and your email as the announcement will come to all who are fully admitted to the credential programs.
TEACH Grants - The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program is a non-need-based grant program available for selected post baccalaureate students who are enrolled in an eligible program and who agree to teach in a high-need field, at a low-income elementary or secondary school as a highly qualified teacher for at least four years within eight years of completing the program for which the TEACH Grant is awarded.
SEEDS - The Special Educators of Excellence in Diverse Settings (SEEDS) is a federally funded scholarship for students to earn both their credential and master’s degree in preliminary education specialist significant support needs (previously known as moderate/severe disabilities) credential or the Adapted Physical Education (APE) added authorization (and primary credential if needed). SEEDS provides FULL scholarships for tuition along with additional funding for students to attend professional conferences. All scholars will also receive an iPad and funding for textbooks!
