The TEACH grant is not included in financial aid offers but can be offered retroactively to eligible students during the award year. Specific eligible education programs have been determined in conjunction with the College of Education and Integrative Studies.

To receive a TEACH Grant you must:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Be a U.S. citizen or have eligible non-citizen status
- Be admitted to an eligible post baccalaureate credential program
- Single Subject - Math, Bilingual, Computer, English/Drama/Humanities, Foreign Language, History/Social Science, Science
- Special Education
- Multiple Subject
- Have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher
- Request an appointment with Renee Samaan, Credential Services Coordinator at email@example.com to obtain approval on the TEACH Grant Certification Form
- Submit Completed, Signed certification form to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships
- Complete TEACH Grant counseling after requirement appears on Bronco Direct
- Sign a Teach Grant Agreement to Serve after requirement appears on Bronco Direct
- Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will verify completion of required documentation and award funds (Upon final approval, funds are typically disbursed within 10-15 business days)

NOTE: The U.S Department of Education estimates that 80% of the students who receive this grant will not be able to fulfill the teaching obligation and their grant funds will convert permanently to an Unsubsidized Direct Loan. Students will then be charged interest from the date the grant(s) disbursed.
What is an Agreement to Serve?
Each award year, a TEACH Grant recipient must sign an Agreement to Serve (ATS) that explains that the recipient must teach for four years within eight years of completing or ceasing enrollment in a TEACH Grant-eligible program as a full-time highly qualified teacher in a low-income elementary or secondary school in a high-need field. According to contractual obligations, a minimum of fifty percent of classes taught must be in a high-need field. You will need your Federal Student Aid PIN to access and sign the ATS.
An electronic ATS can be completed in 4 steps. We estimate that it will take 30 minutes to complete the electronic ATS process. Make sure you allow enough time to complete the entire process in a single session. The TEACH Grant Program provides a maximum annual amount of $3728 and $16,000 aggregate
- up to $3,728 per year if attending full time
- up to $2,796 per year if attending 3/4 time
- up to $1,864 per year if attending 1/2 time
- up to $932 per year if attending less than 1/2 time
The TEACH Grant, along with all other types of financial aid and resources you receive, cannot exceed the cost of attendance
