Job Tips for First Time Teachers and Administrators

February 17, 2015 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The College of Education & Integrative Studies and the Education Alumni Group will be hosting a Human Resources panel event for educators. A group of administrators from surrounding school districts will take part in a panel discussion about the current job market for teachers and what employers are looking for in potential hires. After the HR panel, there will be mock interviews that give attendees an idea of the kinds of questions to expect when being interviewed and the appropriate responses to give.

Career Center Teacher Education Job Fair

February 24, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Ursa Minor, Bronco Student Center

At the Cal Poly Pomona Career Center’s Teacher Education Job Fair students will be able to speak to a variety of employers in the Education field to learn about employment opportunities with individual school districts and agencies, different career paths, and how to prepare for the world of work.

The Teacher Education Job Fair will provide you with a forum to network with employers, many of whom are Cal Poly Pomona alumni, and to learn what Education employers seek in job applicants. The Career Center encourages you to participate in our services and programs that can prepare you for the ever changing workplace.
