Master of Science in Economics Curriculum

Depending on the student's choice of capstone experience, the degree requires a minimum of 10 courses. For the capstone, students have to take a research project and optional to write a thesis. The degree requires a total of 36 units. For successful completion of the research project or thesis, the student is awarded 6 and 3 units respectively. This means that 10 additional courses are required. Every student is required to take four “core” courses, two field specialization courses from their degree option, and 6 “elective” courses, which can be chosen by the student to suit her/his interest. However, even the “elective” courses must be chosen according to the rules of the program.
