In Fall 2018 Cal Poly Pomona will switch from quarter terms to semester terms. Students who started before Fall 2018 and graduate either in Fall 2018 or after Fall 2018 can choose, if they want to graduate according to the rules of the quarter system or if they want to graduate according to the rules of the semester system.
The rules for both systems are very similar. However for the semester system students have to take a minimum of 36 semester units while for the quarter system students have to take a minimum of 45 quarter units.
In either case, semester units from classes taken in the semester system need to be converted to quarter units or classes that were taken during the quarter system have to be converted to semester units.
