Andrew Naranjo is an alumni and graduate of Cal Poly Pomona. He received a BArch and MArch in Architecture while attending Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to joining The Collins College of Hospitality Management, he was the Project Manager for the University Library at Cal Poly Pomona and served as an advisor and consultant for The J Paul Leonard Library Addition and Renovation project at San Francisco State University.

As the Project Manager representing the University Library at Cal Poly Pomona, he oversaw the successful completion of a 101,000SF addition and 91,000SF renovation of the existing Library building, which coveted the Western Council of Construction Consumers award. In addition to a two story Grand Reading Room, the University Library now houses (3) Information Literacy Labs, a 24 hour computer study lab, a Starbucks, a 53 workstation productivity center, a 60 workstation learning commons, an additional 24 group study rooms with audio visual equipment, a variety of additional reader stations which include restaurant style seating booths, and new faculty/staff office spaces.

Andrew has worked for a variety of widely known architectural firms including Johnson Fain Partners, Frank O’Gehry and Associates, Widom Wein Cohen O’Leary Terasawa Partners, HMC Group and MCG Architects. His architectural experience encompasses project management, project design and implementation, project planning, construction development and administration of different building types including higher education, corporate office, retail, theme entertainment, mixed use, hospitals, and resorts. Andrew’s collaboration in different projects he has worked on has been acknowledged in three different publications which include Johnson Fain Partners: Selected and Current Works (The Master Architect Series III) by Images Publishing Group, Johnson Fain Partners: A Modern Classicism by Michael Webb, and Figure/Ground: A Design Conversation by Scott Johnson and Joseph Giovanni.
