Dr. B.W.A. (Ben) Dewald is a Professor at The Collins College of Hospitality Management at the California State Polytechnic University, (Cal Poly) Pomona.

Prior to joining The Collins College in 2002, Ben taught for ten years at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Hotel & Tourism Management. Ben trained in the Dutch, French and Mexican hospitality industry. He managed and opened restaurants in California and Hong Kong, including the Chardonnay at the Registry Hotel across from the Orange County Airport, Antoine Restaurant at the Meridien Hotel in Newport Beach, the Dining Room at the Rancho Mirage Ritz-Carlton, and the Pétrus restaurant on the 56th floor of the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong.

Dr. Ben Dewald is a professor of management at California State Polytechnic University (Cal Poly), Pomona, in The Collins College of Hospitality Management.
