Peter Anderson is a lecturer at the Collins School of Hospitality Management. His background of consulting to the hospitality and spa industry for the last 20 years positions him to support the lodging disciplines taught at the Collins College. Mr. Anderson also sits on the board of advisors for the Medical Spa Management program taught at the University of California - Irvine. He teaches spa operations and spa development/finance in this extension program.

Mr. Anderson’s teaching and consulting has included engagements throughout North America, Mexico, Caribbean, and Hawaii. Positions that Peter has held in industry include president and principal of Anderson and Associates, Vice President at PKF Consulting, and manger of Deloitte & Touche’s LLC’s Los Angeles based hospitality consulting practice. Mr. Anderson started his career as a consultant with Laventhol and Horwath.

Mr. Anderson holds a Masters of Professional Studies from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania. He has also studied environmental design. Prior to his position at Cal Poly and his involvement in the hospitality and wellness industries Mr. Anderson was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
