Program Highlights and Statistics

As of October 2014, The Disability Resource Center (DRC) serves 648 students with disabilities.  The majority of DRC students (86%) have disabilities that are not visible/non-apparent.

Department Highlights

During the 2013/14 academic year...

Test Accommodations

  • DRC administered 4,472 exams (=341 unique students and 658 unique faculty)!  This number represents a 20% increase from the previous academic year.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Services

  • DHH students were provided with 10,000 hours of interpreting/realtime captioning services (18% increase).

Alternate Media Services

  • DRC converted 794 textbooks into alternate formats for student with print-based disabilities (24% increase).
