Noise Levels

Concerns regarding noise levels are often matters of annoyance that can easily be resolved through effective communication. Occasionally, close proximity to high-traffic areas such as restrooms, elevators, common areas and maintenance areas can result in a noisy office or work space. Noise exposure is measured as a time-weighted average (TWA), meaning values must be at an elevated level over the duration of an 8-hour period. To address a noisy environment as a safety issue, an assessment must me made to identify the TWA for that area and it must exceed industry standards.
