Intercollegiate AthleticsThe Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for a twelve (12) month appointment as Head Coach of the Men's Soccer Team to begin February 1, 2018.
DUTIES: Serve as Head Coach, Cal Poly Pomona Men’s Soccer, a highly successful and nationally recognized NCAA Division II program. The University is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Responsibilities include, student-athlete development, recruiting, budgeting, coordinating the championship and non-championship seasons, scouting, ordering equipment, scheduling, leading assistant coaches, monitoring the strength and conditioning program, academic oversight and fund raising. The Head Coach is responsible for following and enforcing institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations relevant to Cal Poly Pomona.
POSITION: Head Coach, Men’s Soccer. 12-month appointment in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Subsequent appointments are based on merit and program needs.
STARTING DATE: February 1, 2018
SALARY RANGE: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a competitive benefits package.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Successful collegiate and/or club coaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete. Demonstrated history of rules compliance and thorough knowledge of NCAA bylaws. Must have a strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes and a reputation of integrity, both professionally and in compliance matters. Excellent oral, written communication and administrative organizational skills. Ability to budget, fundraise, recruit, and retain academically qualified student-athletes. Demonstrated ability working in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.
