Sneak of 2009

Sneak Peek at 2009 Hybrid Design

Formula Hybrid is new to the racing game, but will establish itself very quickly and become the future of race cars. With new innovative ways to power a performance vehicle, it requires more skill, creativity, and a better understanding that the engineering student must face. Building off of the FSAE program, we add an extra level of complexity: fuel efficiency.

Now in 2008, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona wants to contribute and compete in this national competition. With great minds from students of all majors, we are undergoing the build of our first year prototype vehicle. With the assistance of outstanding faculty advisors, Dr. Caffrey & Dr. Haghi, they help lead us in the right path to victory.

Our first competition will be held at the birth place of Formula Hybrid, New Hampshire International Speedway on May 4th – May 6th, 2009. Come out and support and with our success, we can build a new glorified racing program and adapt it to the new world of “Going Green”.
