We Need Diverse Books is offering five $2,500 grants, along with a metro stipend to each intern accepted into their program.  Students should be pursuing a career in children’s publishing. The applicant must have a diverse background (people of color, people with disabilities, people from the LGBTQIAP + community, and other underrepresented groups). Deadline: May 31st, 2017

The Julia I. Carrington Foundation is awarding multiple $10,000 scholarships to students who have resided and graduated from a school in the Solano County. GPA must be greater than 3.0. Deadline: Not specified

Scholarships in Our Lobby

Southern California Garden Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students who are residents of Los Angeles, Ventura or San Bernardino counties, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and are in a major focusing on horticulture, botany, biology, earth science, or a related subject. For more information, see the application in the lobby of the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.

Applications for some of the above scholarships are also available in the Cal Poly Pomona Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships on the third floor of the CLA Building #98 (the pointy building).

Pre-Health Dreamers Scholarship List is available online and in our lobby. It is a list of scholarships for health-related graduate programs that are available to undocumented students.

Scholarship Scams: Beware of companies that guarantee or promise scholarships. Do not send money to companies that make generous promises, charge a fee for you to receive aid, request money by claiming you are a finalist or request your credit card or bank account number.
