What is Find Your Balance
Cal Poly Pomona, along with six other campuses in the Tri City area, received grant funding in 2013 from Proposition 63 to develop and implement a major, year-long campaign to promote behavioral health, emotional well-being, and resiliency for students. An independent marketing firm was hired to assess each campus and then brainstorm messages and potential campaign themes, which were tested with students from all seven campuses. "Find Your Balance" emerged as the overall favorite for the campaign.
This campus campaign was subsequently developed to promote wellness, build individual resiliency, and create a healthy campus community. It is designed to empower individuals through information and resources shared by entities across campus, and not to focus on one department only.
The “Find Your Balance” campaign materials highlight information, tips, strategies and resources to foster resiliency and create a healthy life balance by addressing topics related to physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Student input guided the development of the campaign materials. 2B Communications, a consulting firm funded through the Tri City Mental Health Services grant, designed the campaign materials. The a-la-carte materials include:
- Website Content
- Table Tents
- T-Shirt Designs
The goal of the campaign is to seamlessly weave these materials into programs and activities already taking place on campus.
