Short Bio:

Hao Ji is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in 2016, advised by Prof. Yaohang Li. Prior to this, he studied Data Visualization in the Visualization and Cooperative Computing Lab at Hefei University of Technology. He received the Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and the Master's degree in Computer Science from Hefei University of Technology in 2007 and 2010, respectively.

His research interests include big data analytics, large-scale linear algebra, and high-performance computing. He received the Modeling and Simulation research fellowship from the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation center at Old Dominion University. He was also awarded the Gene Newman award for excellence in Modeling and Simulation research in 2014 and 2015.
