2016 Zinfandel

The 2016 Zinfandel is made entirely from grapes born and raised on Cal Poly Pomona’s vineyards and comes from the same fall harvest as the gold medal winning 2016 Zinfandel Rosé that was released last year. The majority of the grapes came from the Huntley Vineyard on the northeast portion of campus and were harvested on September 12, 2016 by students and faculty of the Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture.

This dry Zinfandel has aromatic notes of blackberry, plum and raspberry that are accentuated by beautiful deep burgundy hues. It tantalize the senses and demonstrate finesse with enticing aromas, moderate oak influence and soft tannins. The wine is elegantly balanced, easy to sip, and styled to age for two to three years.
