The Open Enrollment Period will be from September 13, 2010 through October 8, 2010, with the effective date of January 1, 2011 for changes filed during this period.
During Open Enrollment, eligible employees may enroll, change health plans, delete family members or add eligible family members (including dependent children age 23 to 26, and married children under age 26--read on for details) not currently enrolled under this program.
Open Enrollment is also the period when employees can enroll or re-enroll in the Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA). IRS rules require re-enrollment each tax year to participate in HCRA and/or DCRA.
