I20 Extension

I-20 Extension

If you need more time to complete your academic program but your I-20 end date will expire, you must request an extension to the program end date on the I-20 Extension before it expires. Two documents are required for the extension of your I-20 program date. Please follow the below steps for the extension:

1)      Contact or meet with your academic department advisor and have them email the International Center with your expected completion quarter. The email needs to be sent to the following: international@cpp.edu

2)      Provide a new bank statement/letter or financial guarantee to the International Center that covers the amount needed for your extension. Document must be in English and no more than 6 months old. See the below chart for the amounts required for 1, 2 or 3 quarters of extension:

Once we receive the advisor email and financial documentation, we will extend the I-20 and provide you with an updated form I-20. Student must be enrolled in the annual health insurance during this time.
