Faculty, administrators, and other members of the University's community are invited to submit articles based on scholarly research and other innovative activities to The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies. For articles to be considered, three laser quality hard copies -- one without the author's name(s) or affiliation(s) -- must be received by January 5, 1996. Submissions should be addressed to:

John E. Karayan, J.D. Ph.D.
Editor-in-Chief, The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies
Department of Accounting,
College of Business Administration,
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona 91768

and should include voicemail and Fax numbers along with E-Mail and postal addresses where the author(s) can be reached.

Multimedia articles are welcome. Initially, only hard copy of the text (with indications of the nature and locations of video or sound included) need be submitted.

Submissions should be formatted to match the presentation in the Journal's last issue. They are to open with the article's title along with the author(s)' name (without rank or degrees) and University "department". This is to be followed by an abstract in lay language not exceeding 200 words. Submissions are to be double-spaced with one inch margins on all sides, not exceed 16 pages, and use Helvetica 12 point type. The style must conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Fourth Edition.

Articles are submitted in two stages: first for refereed review; second for publication. The initial version is reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and the respective Associate Editor. Articles passing this step are then blind reviewed by a referee chosen by the Associate Editor. Those which adequately respond to reviewers' concerns are then ready for the second stage.

It begins with the author(s)' submission of the revised version, both in hard copy and in an ASCII or MacIntosh Microsoft Word file on a clearly labeled 3-1/2" diskette. Because the Journal is published both in hard copy and electronically, the final version of submissions must be entirely electronic. Text must be word processed, including charts, diagrams, equations, and graphs; graphics and photos also must be submitted on disk. Editing may be necessary to meet page limitations and other goals.

The goal is to publish the next volume by Fall Conference Week, 1996. Authors should be aware that the Journal is available via the World Wide Web from Cal Poly Pomona's Home Page ( Hard copy can be obtained by contacting John E. Karayan at (909) 869-2367 or JEKarayan@CSUPomona.EDU.
