The purpose of this recruitment is to produce a pool of qualified applicants to call upon for temporary emergency administrative support appointments which range from a duration of several days to a maximum of 90 days. A temporary emergency appointment is generally utilized to replace a permanent employee on leave of absence or to provide clerical support during a recruitment process subsequent to an employee's resignation. Temporary emergency appointments will be made in the appropriate job classification, depending upon the needs of the hiring department. You may be considered for available positions in any of these classifications depending on your qualifications. Temporary emergency positions are not eligible for benefits.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Thorough knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, punctuation; knowledge of modern office methods, procedures and practices; effective communication skills. Type 45 net wpm. IBM or Macintosh computer/word processing experience.
NOTE: Your application will remain active for a twelve month period. If after twelve months, you are interested in remaining in the Temporary Emergency Administrative Support Pool, it is your responsibility to submit a new application and resume.
Finalists for this position may be required to submit to and successfully pass a background check prior to being hired.
