Professional Experience

Linda Bisesti (SAG-AFTRA, AEA) Linda received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Boston University, School for the Arts. She is the Artistic Director of the Southern California Shakespeare Festival, SCSF, in residence at Cal Poly Pomona and Professor and the Head of Acting as well. Linda has also been on the faculty of California State University, Long Beach, MFA program, and University of Massachusetts, Boston. Guest Artist positions include the American Shakespeare Center, teaching Voice in the MFA program, The Gaiety School of Acting, National Theatre School of Ireland, Fortune’s Fool Productions in Dublin, Ireland, Wellesley College and Wellesley College Summer Theatre.

A working SAG-AFTRA and AEA actor, Linda’s credits include feature films, the award winning From Hollywood to Rose, the winner of Best Comedy in the Hollywood Independent Reel Festival, 2017. Other film credits include features For the Love of Money , Love is the Drug, (Slamdance Film Festival), Hurt, The Big Empty, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, (Tribeca Film Festival), Sacramento, AFI Film Festival, Guy in the Row Five, Book of Esther, Sarah's Choice and Killing Time (Sundance Film Festival). Television credits include guest star roles Movie of the Week, Hunter; TV Land Teachers, BuzzFeed, Married as well as Pretty Little Liars, Days of Our Lives, Monk, Criminal Minds, Brother and Sisters,The West Wing, Boston Public, The Practice and The Young and Restless, Days of Our Lives and many others.

Regional theatre credits include the critically acclaimed Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Company where she performed such roles as Nerissa In Merchant, Osric in Hamlet and Sir Andrew Aguechek in Twelfth Night. Regional theatre credits in various roles in Shear Madness at Boston’s Charles Playhouse and Laguna Playhouse where she won a Backstage Award for best comic performance. SCSF credits include Gertrude in Hamlet, Julius in Julius Caesar, Maria in Twelfth Night and Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing.

Linda coaches actors for TV, Film and Theatre in Voice, Accent Reduction and Acting. She is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher. She has the honor of coaching Brittany Daniel many others.

She is grateful for her fine students at Cal Poly Pomona and thanks them for their dedication to SCSF and to their journey as theatre artists.
