University Library

Computers with Assistive Technology

Computers in the Library run on Windows 7 or Windows 10. Accessibility options for students who may need them are part of the Windows environment. From the Microsoft Accessibility website:

Windows 7 includes accessibility options and programs that make it easier to see, hear, and use your computer including ways to personalize your PC. Magnifier in Windows 7 includes a lens mode and full-screen mode. On-Screen Keyboard can be resized to make it easier to see and includes text prediction. Windows 7 also gives you more ways to interact with your PC by taking advantage of new strides in speech recognition and touch technology.

For additional information on how to use the accessibility programs in Windows, please refer to the Accessibility in Windows 7 webpage or the Accessibility in Windows 10 webpage.
