Part-Time Librarian Position (Non-Tenure-Track And Temporary)
Provide reference assistance at the Research Help Desk using a wide variety of print and electronic resources. Assist in the Library’s Instructional and Information Literacy programs. Contribute to special projects in support of library and campus initiatives as assigned. This is a part-time, temporary, non-tenure-track position. 10 hours per week beginning winter quarter, January 2014.
- Master of Library or Information Science from an ALA -accredited institution or equivalent.
- Recent reference desk experience in an academic or public library.
- Demonstrated communication skills with ability to provide effective research assistance.
- Demonstrated commitment to client-centered service and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated skills in searching electronic resources.
- Library instruction experience.
- Experience using LibGuides.
$24.50 to $29.50 per hour, depending upon qualifications.

As the central intellectual and cultural resource of the campus community, the purpose of the Cal Poly Pomona University Library is to provide all students, faculty, staff, and administrators with effective and equitable access to the recorded information necessary to support the University's instruction, research, and public service mission.
