Daniel A. Andrews (Danny)
Dan Andrews Farms, Owner
Daniel Andrews is a third-generation farmer in
both Kern County, California, and Imperial County, California. He also owns a fruit and vegetable farm and enjoys support from loyal customers throughout North America. With 17 years experience in agriculture and a Bachelor of Science in agricultural Business Management (1990) from Cal Poly Pomona, Andrews has a special interest in preserving Cal Poly Pomona’s agricultural roots.
Agriculture is not Andrews’ only interest. As a collegiate and professional baseball player, he gained experience he was able to use to influence baseball players of varying ages as an instructor and coach for five years. He has supported the College of Agriculture and Bronco baseball through endowed scholarships and is interested in improving Cal Poly Pomona’s baseball field and facilities.
Beginning his volunteer career as a high school student, Andrews served as a page in the opening and closing ceremonies of the XXIII Olympiad for the 1984 summer games held in Los Angeles. Named Most Valuable Player on the 1990 Cal Poly Pomona baseball team, he is certain to be a valuable contributor to the NDC.
His experience in chasing balls and running bases will undoubtedly benefit him as he chases his young sons, James and Christopher. Should any sports injuries occur, Dr. Mary Milkie-Andrews, medical doctor, wife and mother, can come to their rescue.
