Identity Theft

Identity Theft Workshop

Identity Theft is the largest growing segment of white collar crime.  The IRS reports that identity theft was used to receive over $14B dollars in 2011 and $20B in 2012.  Identity theft is when someone assumes the identity of another individual and either attempts to open various credit cards and take loans in that victim’s name or file fraudulent returns seeking refunds in that individuals name as well as identity theft of children.

The presentation will cover the various aspects of identity theft, what you can do to prevent it and what you must do if you are a victim or suspect you may be a victim.  This is a hot topic that everyone should hear!
