Mandatory Freshmen Orientation Program

Parent/Family Orientation Program (Optional) per person

Change of Orientation Date (students can only change dates once)

Cancellation and Refund Policies

* All Orientation fees are non-refundable unless you notify Orientation Services in writing that you will not be attending at least two weeks prior to your scheduled orientation session. To notify Orientation Services, email and include your Bronco ID# in your message.

  • If your Admissions status has changed after you have participated in orientation, your fee is still non-refundable.
  • You will still be responsible for the Orientation Fee if you decide not to attend Cal Poly Pomona, but fail to contact the Orientation Services office to cancel your reservation.

* The Orientation Fee is NOT part of the Enrollment Confirmation Deposit and is a separate (miscellaneous) fee.

Please pay your Orientation fees by the due date stated in your BroncoDirect account information (Account Summary/Make Payment or Account Inquiry). If your fees are not paid by the due date, your reservation may be cancelled. Click here for payment instructions.

Orientation Fees Cover the Following:

  • Academic Advising and Course Registration
  • Campus Tours
  • Information Regarding Student Programs and Resources
  • New Student Materials (Curriculum Sheet, Bronco ID Card, New Student Resource Guide)
  • Meals During Program
  • Activities With Other New and Current Students
  • Lodging in Residence Halls (including bedding)
  • Educational Workshops
  • Campus Involvement Fair

Orientation Fee Deferment:

After a student registers for orientation, they may request an orientation fee deferment by emailing for the form.

Please note, if approved, your student orientation fee will NOT be waived; the due date will be postponed until your financial aid has been processed. Fee deferment approvals are contingent upon your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), shown on the first page of your Student Aid Report (SAR). Approved fee deferments only defer the cost of the student fees, NOT guest fees.

Orientation Services must receive the student's orientation fee deferment request form either:

  1. Within 30 days of when the student registered for orientation OR
  2. Two weeks before a student's orientation fee is due

*Please note, we will evaluate your request based on the date that comes first within the two options listed above.
