Transfer Parent and Family Program
Parent and other family members play an important role in student success at Cal Poly Pomona. The parent and family orientation is an optional 1-day program that provides the necessary tools and information needed to support student success. This program is separate from the student program and is designed specifically for parents and family members.
Students can register you when they sign up for orientation on BroncoDirect. Then, on the day of orientation, guests will check in with your student in the Bronco Student Center (Bldg. 35).
$50 per person above the age of 10 and you must register in advance.
As a transfer parent, family or guest, your orientation is the same day as your student's one-day orientation program. You will check in with your student and attend many of the same sessions as your student. When students go to advising, parents, family, and guests will attend supplemental sessions designed specifically for them. The program will conclude by 5:30pm.
Some Orientation sessions (July 6-7 and July 13-14) are 1.5 day programs. The parent, family and guest programs will take place on the first day of these sessions only. Students will be expected to attend the second day or Orientation on their own.
