Cross Cultural Retreat

27th Cross Cultural Retreat - Application Deadline Friday, Nov. 9th.
January 12-14, 2018

This Year’s Retreat Goal:

To provide an oppurtunity for honest dialogue about issues related to diversity, social justice and building effective alliances across cultures.

Location/Accommodations:

The retreat will take place at Kellogg West Conference Center, on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona. Participants will receive lodging for 2 nights and 5 meals. If any participant requires specific needs such as mobility access, sign language interpreters, or other types of assistance, please call the chair to make the proper arrangements.

Application Process:

The retreat is limited to 70 participants and you must attend the ENTIRE retreat. Cal Poly Pomona student participants must apply to attend the retreat. Applications can be found at the bottom of this page. Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff, and administrators’ application is also listed below.

Deadline to submit application form is November 9, 2017 by 5pm.

Notifications will be sent out the week of December 5, 2017. Participants must sign paperwork by Friday, December 15, 2017 by 5pm to the Office of Student Life & Cultural Centers (26-124) to reserve their spot.

Cross Cultural Retreat is only open to members of the Cal Poly Pomona community. Students may not bring guests to the site.

Costs:

* Students - The retreat is FREE to students who are selected to attend and complete the entire retreat. Students will be required to sign a waiver agreeing to have their student account charged $50 if they fail to show up or successfully participate.

* Faculty/Staff – Fee includes lodging for 2 nights & 5 meals. Residency Double occupancy rate = $250.00 per person, Single occupancy: $275.00

Non-residency rate (program ends nightly @ 10pm and begins each morning @ 8am): $160.00

Transportation/Arrival & Departure Time:

Participants must arrive by 3pm on January 12th and the program will conclude by noon on January 14th. Participants will be given permits to park at Kellogg West.
