The campus will be closed Tuesday, December 24, 2013, for the entire day. All employees scheduled to work on December 24th do not need to use leave credits for any part of the day.
In celebration of the holiday season, Governor Brown has granted four (4) hours of informal time off with pay on the last campus working day before the Christmas holiday for all full-time employees. Less than full-time employees are granted the informal time off on a pro-rata basis.
Employees required to work this day, or who would be scheduled to work but have already scheduled vacation or personal time to take this day off, are granted the equivalent informal time off to use at a later time prior to June 30, 2014. This time is not considered CTO and is not compensable in cash.
President Ortiz has authorized, pursuant to Title 5, Section 42729, to allow an additional half-day of administrative leave to be used on the same day the Governor’s informal time off is observed, so the campus can be closed for the entire day (with the exception of essential personnel).
Please be advised that the half-day administrative leave is only designated for employees who would have come to work on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. The half-day administrative leave is not eligible to be used any other day other than the day it is granted.
