2nd Annual Physics Education Seminar

Cal Poly Pomona

Come participate in a discussion of physics education over tea and cookies! A number of Cal Poly physics faculty will be giving short (5-10 minutes) presentations on their physics education activities from the past year. The emphasis is on an informal atmosphere with lots of time for questions and discussion.

Peter Siegel: Cal Poly physics applets

Roger Morehouse: Assessment of GE courses

John Mallinckrodt: A simple use of spreadsheets to perform numerical integrations

Steve McCauley: One method for obtaining student feedback

Alex Rudolph: A national study of student learning in GE astronomy courses
