The ETS Program offers year-round services to its participants by providing academic year and summer program learning experiences.

During the academic year, students will meet with their ETS Academic Advisor at least twice a year (once per semester) for academic, career, and personal advising, as well as to plan out the following semester or academic year schedule based on the Cal State or UC system curriculum and college admissions requirements. Students are also advised on other postsecondary education options based on career interests. ETS Students will have access to ETS Advisors during ETS office hours at each school. Please contact ETS for days and times.

ETS will also provide students with after school tutoring at their respective school site to help improve grades and get ahead on classes. Please contact ETS for days and times.

ETS participants will also attend workshops on how to apply for colleges, financial literacy and financing college education, career interests and goal setting, leadership and life skills, time management and study skills.  Participants will also attend field trips to visit and tour various colleges and universities, as well as attend workshops, conferences, plays, museums, or other educational or cultural venues.

The program also provides workshops for parents on various subjects related to helping their child get into and succeed in college, financial literacy and financial aid options, and how to pay for college.

During the summer, 50 ETS participants will be selected to attend the RASSLE Program (Rigorous Academic Support Summer Learning Experience).  Students will attend classes through Cal Poly Pomona’s ETS Program at Cal Poly Pomona during this six-week academic experience.  The culminating piece of RASSLE is a three-day residential life experience where students will attend workshops and live in college/university dormitories with college residential advisors and the ETS Program staff.
