International Center

Cal Poly Pomona values a diverse campus environment. The university’s multicultural community extends education beyond the classroom, giving our students a global perspective on social and political issues. The International Center is primarily charged with facilitating the needs of international students, giving them a resource to help assimilate them into the university culture. Because of this, the committee recommends that a portion of international student fees fund center programs and reduce its reliance on the general fund. As the need for services to international students grows, the committee recommends Academic Affairs evaluate the need for specific international program fees to augment current resources.

Implementation Process – The International Center, working with Academic Affairs and Administrative Affairs, should prepare a business plan to use a portion of international student fees to support its programs that benefit international students.
