A master's degree student, conditional or unconditional (8000/6000), and a credential student, conditional or unconditional (1000/7000) will be subject to disqualification and may be disqualified from the university if his/her cumulative grade point average fails below 3.0 ("B" grade) in upper-division and graduate courses after the second quarter of attendance.
An undeclared graduate student, noncertificate or noncredential, who has declared that he/she will be enrolling in either a master's degree program or a certificate/credential program, but has not entered such program yet (3100), will be subject to disqualification and may be disqualified from the university if his/her cumulative grade point average falls below 3.0 ("B") in upper division and graduate courses after the second quarter of attendance. A maximum of 13 units, 300-level or above, may be taken while in this classification. Graduate students may not use either the campus course repeat policy or academic renewal, which applies only to the undergraduate student. A graduate student will be restored in good standing when he/she is no longer subject to disqualification. A graduate student admitted to a master's degree curriculum may be considered to be maintaining satisfactory progress provided he/she is fulfilling the conditions of his/her respective degree programs in a timely manner as determined by the graduate department coordinator.
