Annual Graduate Student Progress Report

This is only required of students entering the Master's program during or after Fall Quarter 2011. Those students entering prior to Fall 2011 are not required to submit a yearly progress report to the Department. However, it is within the right of your major Professors to ask you to submit one to them personally.

Report Submission

The Department of Biological Sciences requires that all graduate students entering Fall 2011 and after file an Annual Graduate Student Progress Report and Plan (DOC) with their major professor and the graduate coordinator each academic year. The progress report is in Microsoft Word format (2003 version; 74 KB) and should be completed by the student electronically.

Students will fill in all but the last page, save as a Microsoft Word document, and email it to the major professor as an attachment. The report is due to the major professor by May 1 of every year the student is in the program. The major professor will enter comments in the area provided and evaluate the student using the Graduate Student Learning Outcomes matrix in the report. The major professor will then print the form, sign the form, and return it to the student. The student will sign the form and submit it to the Graduate Coordinator to be placed in the student's file. The report is due to the graduate coordinator by June 1 of every year the student is in the program.

Deadlines to NOT FORGET

  1. May 1 of every year - submit Annual Graduate Student Progress Report and Plan to major professor.
  2. June 1 of every year - submit Annual Graduate Student Progress Report and Plan to graduate coordinator.
