Advanced Placement (AP)

The AP credit guidelines for the core and support courses in Biological Sciences Programs are listed below. For a complete list of AP equivalent courses, please refer to the University Catalog (make sure you select the most recent academic year). You need to file a petition to receive the AP credit.  You may receive up to 6 semester units or 9 quarter units of college credit.

Please note:  If you plan to apply for graduate or professional schools, e.g. medical schools, your AP credits will NOT satisfy their pre-requisites.  For your own benefit, you may still need to take those courses even CPP approves them.
