2008-09 Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program

Formerly known as the Forgivable Loan Program

The Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program is designed to increase the pool of individuals with the qualifications, motivation, and skills to teach the diverse student body in the CSU, and offers financial support to doctoral students who show promise of becoming strong candidates for CSU instructional faculty positions. Loans of up to $30,000 can be awarded. The program is open to applications who will be new or continuing full-time students in doctoral programs at accredited universities anywhere in the United States during the 2008-09 academic year. A CSU faculty advisor provides consultation and assistance to the candidate to enhance his/her academic experience and relationship to the CSU.

Application booklets are available from the Faculty Center for Professional Development (1-227), extension 2897. The application form, along with all required attachments, is due in the dean's office on or before February 8, 2008.
